At a glance

Shipton Spire is one of the most popular rock located in Baltoro sub-range Shigar valley Baltistan Northern Areas. It has a typical shape like that of a Pencil. Trango Towers and Hiana Brakk are also situated in its vicinity. The rock is erect, high and steep. Shipton Spire is very difficult and challenging to climb. In 1996 American and Australian team succeeded in climbing this gigantic rock. The base camp of Shipton Spire has a very scenic view. A seasonal spring and colorful flowers increase its beauty manifold.
